Oil Highlight - Meditation Blends

This weeks oil highlight is a little different. Instead of sharing a single oil I’m going to share some of the blends and oils that offer support with meditation. Since this is week 3 of the April Healthy Habits Challenge which focuses on the mind and the practice of meditation, what better time to share this with you.

I admittedly had just intended to use my go-to uplifting blend for my morning meditations, since that is how I typically like to start my day. However, after a quick search in my Young Living Team Facebook pages I found a ton of resources. This is one of the things I love about my team. The resources are fantastic and the support is endless!

Oils I Have & Use

Frankincense returned the most results when I searched “meditation”. It is a powerful grounding oil that is a great compliment to meditation and yoga. It’s also amazing for your skin, so putting a roller right on top of the bottle makes it very versatile to use.

Orange is a sweet bright citrus that sends me right back to my childhood. Besides the fact that an orange is an iconic symbol for this FL girl I also feel transported by this smell and it makes me feel all the happy vibes.

Joy & White Angelica are both beautiful floral scents with citrus accents which make them a beautiful pairing with Orange to help support positive emotions.

Palo Santo helps promote a cleansing and refreshing environment.

Oils On My Meditation Wish-list

Transformation includes Idaho Blue Spruce, Palo Santo, and Ocotea. These powerful essential oils empower you to replace negative beliefs with uplifting thoughts when diffused. Isn’t this exactly what meditation is all about?!

Sandalwood is distinctly warm and woodsy and is the perfect complement to relaxation time, yoga and meditation.

Hyssop has a slightly sweet scent and was considered a sacred oil in ancient Egypt, Israel, and Greece. Its fragrant scent stimulates creativity and meditation. I’ve heard wonderful things about using this oil with a daily yoga practice as well.

Essential oils can provide incredible support for our emotions and below are some blends based on what you might be dealing with and meditating on.

anger: black spruce, cedarwood, lavender, release, present time
jealousy: lemon, orange, frankincense, joy, gratitude
disappointment: copaiba, frankincense, idaho balsam fir, abundance, believe
fear: palo santo, myrrh, hope
