Fridays With Barreista Be Well
The last couple of weeks have taught me a lot, or rather they have revealed a lot to me. At first staying home, doing the right thing, social distancing, self quarantining was all fine and dandy. I was adjusting to new routines and more people at home during the day. It really wasn’t till this week that I realized just how much a part of me was being affected by these changes. You see, I already work from home full time, so at first I wasn’t feeling as big of a shift as others. Then I started missing my community, my barre besties, my yogis, the love and energy that is shared when people come together in health and wellness to share kindness and compassion for one another. That lights me up, I mean it is after all a huge reason why Barreista Be Well exists! So this week I decided to do a live workout. Have you ever done that before Alexis? Nope, sure haven’t, but let’s give it a whirl I thought. I didn’t anticipate the reaction from those who tuned in or watched later or how I would feel afterwards. Akin to a runners high, instructors also feed off of the amazing energy in their classes and most of the time when I’m done teaching I feel elated. Well, that is exactly how I felt after Monday’s class. Then again after teaching a live yoga class on Wednesday. So it got me thinking. During these ever changing times, what are additional ways I can stay more connected to my barre and yoga community and offer a way to expand that to anyone and everyone who would like a place to connect and belong? Here it is, Fridays with Barreista Be Well!
For the foreseeable future, meet me on Fridays at 4PM Central Time for a workout, yoga, meditation or some kind of mind/body connection and stay for the chat. These appropriately social distanced gatherings will last anywhere between 30 and 40 minutes and be a wonderful way to come together in community, even if it is virtual!

Be sure to download the Zoom app so you’re ready to go when you click the link for Friday’s event.
