Colorado, You're Pretty!

It’s hard to believe just a week ago I was heading to Colorado for a girls trip, but it has been a week and I’m still in awe of how fun the weekend was and how beautiful Colorado is!

Where We Stayed

We stayed right in the heart of Vail at The Lodge at Vail. I loved how this property was nestled right into the town, like most of the hotels are there, and you can simply walk right outside and into the streets of Vail, which are full of fun shops, restaurants and bars.

What We Did

We arrived Friday night, only in time to grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Saturday we woke up ready to take on the sights. After grabbing coffee and going for a walk around the village we headed out for a hike. Vail has great public transportation which made it easy for us to safely get out to the trail we wanted to hike. The views blew me away. I probably sounded like a broken record, going on and on about how beautiful it was.

After our hike we spent some time at the hotel and then explored the rest of the villages that make up Vail! Lots of laughs were had and wine was consumed!

On Sunday we walked the very large Vail Farmers Market. This farmers market went way beyond fresh veggies, they had all kinds of shops, food and goodies for sale! Not to mention everyone has a dog there, so obviously I was making a lot of friends.

My Faves

All of it?! Really it was magical and I loved every minute of it, but I did have a few favorites from the trip. I loved the way the village was designed, with cobblestone streets it was quaint and easy to get around. Coffee at Yeti’s Grind was the best I had all weekend! Most of all though, the company! None of this would have been nearly as much fun without my bestie.

This long overdue weekend won’t be our last. Angie and I are already planning where we will go next!

Tell me your favorite places to vacation with your gal pals.

Till next time. Cheer’s Colorado!
